I have over two decades of experience running small, medium, and very large websites and intranets, from charities to global enterprise-level corporations. I make sure they deliver what they are built to deliver.
I am happy to discuss what you and your website or intranet might need.
My logo is the representation of a chaotic attractor. It was created by Valery Tenyotkin, who owns the copyright (I have paid for the use of it).
Chaos is not what we think of chaos as being: wild, random, and without form. Chaos, in its scientific meaning, are combined behaviours that have an underlying order, which is also a good description of a webite, where design, words, purpose, code, and the worldwide network of servers, nodes, and connections, all deliver something meaningful for you, your visitors, and your customers.
Chaos, or rather chaotic systems, are unpredictable, but all of them have an end-point. This end-point is called the "attractor". The initial conditions completely determine how all the behaviours in a chaotic system will travel toward the attractor. The usual example, the flap of a butterfly's wings, which never leads to unorganised nothingness, but to something also organised, such as a hurricane. It is the initial conditions that determine whether the butterfly's flap leads to the hurricane or a century of mild summers or you dropping a cup.
In the same way, small, good decisions and choices at the start of building a website mean positive results later on, and poor choices and decisions can lead to a long shadow of sub-standard results.
No website is beyond improvement You can make small changes that will have a big impact, and you can keep going in that direction. Why not start now?
